Mary Ellen King
Mary Ellen King has ten years of experience with all types of insurance litigation, including litigation management of large insurance dockets and mass tort cases. She is licensed in Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama, and has maintained a varied insurance docket in all three states. She has worked for some of the top insurance defense firms in the country and has represented many of the most well-known and largest insurance companies, consistently achieving outstanding results for her clients. With her aggressive approach and attention to detail, she has successfully litigated hundreds of cases consistently achieving favorable results for her clients. In early 2011, she started KLG with one goal in mind – to provide quality legal representation combined with top-notch client service
Richard C. "Rick" King Jr.
Rick has a wealth of knowledge and experience in real estate litigation, breach of contract and business disputes, trademark and copyright infringement litigation, oil and gas litigation, and other types of general commercial disputes. Rick's resume speaks for itself. In his 14 years of practice, he has worked at some of Texas's most prestigious firms, as well as for some of the most well respected federal judges in Texas and the Southeast. His successful litigation practice has put him in front of federal and state judges nationwide and all over the State of Texas. He is very involved in the local legal community. Rick has first chair trial experience having tried and won multiple bench trials in the last several years. In addition, Rick has broad experience successfully handling temporary restraining order and temporary injunction hearings in intellectual property, employment, and general litigation cases.
Carol S. Birch
Carol Birch has 28 years of legal experience. She is a former Administrative Law Judge for the State of Texas. Carol presided over numerous hearings and trials during her tenure as judge from 2004-2009, and her "from the bench" perspective is invaluable to our team of experienced attorneys. Rebecca L. "Becky" Abel
Since graduating with honors from Baylor Law School, Becky has spent 19 years focusing her practice on insurance issues. In private practice at one of Texas's premier firms, she focused on commercial and insurance litigation and regulatory matters. Her years in-house with two major property and casualty insurance carriers focused on defending first- and third-party claims and providing guidance on claim handling and procedures. She also held executive leadership positions in which she supervised claim attorneys and litigation teams.
