National Summit Addresses Disparities in Healthcare

Focus Includes Childhood Obesity, Teen Health and Clinical Trial Networks

WASHINGTON, April 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Summit on Health Disparities is hosted by the National Minority Quality Forum (www.nmqf.org) in collaboration with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Health Braintrust.  Members of Congress, government healthcare experts, elite opinion leaders and senior industry representatives will discuss challenges and solutions to healthcare disparities.

From cradle to grave, health disparities exist in the form of disease and disability prevalence, higher rates of infant mortality and earlier death for minority populations. Besides the human toll, the significant financial impact of health inequities affects all Americans.
